Laser on Multiple Projectors

With some possibilities of super wide screen laser projections coming up this year, I want to master the art of combining multiple laser projectors into one super wide screen laser projection with less flicker as an added benefit. I started by setting up three test patterns side by side.

Then I worked on expanding the visible 3D space across the new wide projection screen, and minimizing the transition “stripes”.  I had to learn some new programming techniques, it was fun and well worth the time.  The results exceeded my expectations, and I look forward to encountering that first super wide screen!

Following is a video of three projectors sharing one image, projected upon a screen in the studio. The blue lines indicate where each projector stops and starts. My goal is for the larger image to be spread (like the word “Communicate”) across the three projectors seamlessly, so that it looks as though only one projector is doing the work:
