The community of ShadowGlen in Manor, Texas has a very cool pre-July 4 event called “Red, White, and Bluegrass”. They wanted a spectacular finish for this event after all of the bands. Laser Spectacles delivered!
After a site visit and discussion, we decided on a laser show with no graphics – only laser beams set to patriotic music. This drastically cut down the labor needed to produce this show. ShadowGlen was happy to get a very attractive price!
The Show:
Setup was easy – we installed a row of lasers on either side of the bandstand. For simplicity we used the new IDN (ILDA Digital Network) format to make recordings of each piece that we wanted to play in the studio. At the show we used a simple laptop with several DACs (Digital to Analog Converters) for output.
When the last band finished, the musicians quickly cleared out, and the laser fun began! We treated the audience to an awesome display of laser beams choreographed to patriotic songs right in front of their clubhouse. Everyone was happy – smiles all around!
